Extra-special thanks go out to the xXx clan for a great CTF scrim on Friday April 27th in the .8 server.  The event turned out to be a 10 v. 10 battle-royal in one of the toughest competions the clan has ever faced in CTF. 

The action started with |SPC|Ranger facing off against the xXx clan's pick in a 1 on 1 bash for honors in picking Axis or Allies.  xXx won the bash and chose Allies to start, and we were off to Southern France. 

The =[65th]= swept Southern France 2-0 in the heat of intense action.  Then, the battle moved to Destroyed Village and the tables turned.  xXx came at us hard and the =[65th]= defense crumbled under the pressure.  xXx matched us with a 2-0 sweep of Destroyed Village.

It came down to...

a tie break situation.  The map was chosen by 1 on 1 bash.  This time it was Master Sergeant SirusDaVirus who volunteered to represent the =[65th]=.  xXx again won the bash, after a good showing by Sirus, and they chose Destroyed Village for their tiebreak map. 

The pressure was on.  The never-defeated CTF team had it's back against the wall in a match that would be decided on a map that they had just been pummeled on... twice. 

The tiebreak round got underway with the =[65th]=, on Axis, getting a good spawn and a shot at the Allied flag.  The =[65th]= took advantage and capitalized on the situation, getting the first flag within the first minute of play.  That set the tone for the rest of the round.  The xXx launched an intense assault, but the =[65th]= rallied through and kept the lead, winning the round and the match.
