All the members of the 65th clan need to realize that the
actions they take and the reputation they hold on the battlefield not only reflects
on them, but the entire 65th as well. It's important for everyone to represent
us in a good and honorable way both on our server and any other server we may
play on.
The Code of Conduct is as follows:
1. CHEATING/HACKING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Cheating of any kind for any reason will not be tolerated. Not on our server
or any other server. Accusations of cheating will be met with a warning and
investigation with the ultimate punishment for continued cheating being DISMISSAL
FROM THE CLAN.
Don't embarrass the clan by using hacks or mods that give you an unfair advantage.
If you don't have the skills to play without cheating, then don't play. If you
find yourself unwillingly with an unfair advantage, such as falling under the
map (also known as "land sharking") and continue to play you will be treated
as a hacker. You can "commit suicide" by entering "kill" into the console if
you are stuck.
Any mods or skins other than those than come stock with the game are discouraged
(including custom scopes). We will be playing on some servers that will not
allow anything but stock so don't learn to depend on a crutch that you may not
have just when you need it most.
2. COURTESY IS OUR CLAN LANGUAGE:
All 65th Clan members and recruits will conduct themselves in a professional
manner at all times. Rudeness, inappropriate and/or foul language is prohibited
in our clan.
The use of profanity and or excessive taunting on our server or other servers
is also discouraged. It's our goal to provide a place where people, serious
gamers and not so serious gamers, can enjoy themselves.
Respect is our GOLDEN rule.
Do not insult other clans, especially in their servers. We don't like others
doing it to us, so don't do it to others. The 65th Clan does not want server
wars between clans over stupid issues.
If someone outside of the clan is spamming or disrespecting you and one of
your Generals is in the 65th Clan server, talk to a General, and they will deal
with it. If someone is insulting you continuously and you can't handle it, just
ignore them and forget it.
NO clan member is allowed to accuse another player of cheating in public;
contact a General. If no General is on the server at the time make a note of
the player's name and send this along with a description of the offense to publicaffairs@65thclan.com.
Any player, regardless of skill, with a bad attitude will be removed.
JOKING: Some players think any behavior or language is acceptable as long as
you say you were just "joking". Joking is a hard thing to define. Everyone has
their own definition of what they think is acceptable and what is not. We play
this game for fun and fun comments are part of it. But use the utmost discretion.
Do not say anything to someone on the server that you wouldn't say to their
face in real life. If in doubt, KEEP QUIET. If you have been warned or told
by the person that they don't think what you are saying is funny, knock it off
or you will be treated as if you are harassing the person.
3. SCHEDULING MATCHES AND/OR SCRIMMAGES:
NO clan members, other than Generals, may challenge or accept a challenge from
another clan for a scrim. If you see a clan you think we might like to play,
or if another clan challenges you, forward the information to one of your Generals
(preferably Risky since he is scrim scheduler) and they will set a scrim up
if appropriate. Playing an unauthorized scrim with another clan will result
in your immediate dismissal from the clan.
4. PROMOTIONS, DISCIPLINE OR DEMOTION:
NO clan members, other than Generals, may decide or execute any kind of punitive
actions to clan members.
NO clan members, other than Generals, may promote or demote ranks or offer
promotions in the clan. Threatening to demote other members will not be tolerated.
Violation of this will result in loss of privileges, loss of rank, demotion
and/or DISMISSAL FROM THE CLAN.
5. THE =[65th]= TAG IS A PRIVILEDGE:
Each clan member must have their own username or nick. This benefits each clan
member in the interest of protecting their online reputation.
If you let someone play your MOH game you MUST change the tags or at the very
least put some extension on alerting us to the fact that it IS NOT YOU. Some
of our members allow their children to play (which is great; we actually encourage
this) but please add an extension letting us know.
Any inappropriate behavior by a person playing with your tags on and from your
IP will be attributed to YOU. Your tag is your identification and badge of honor
so guard it appropriately.
6. RULES DURING SCRIMMAGES:
Only Generals can talk with the other Clan Leader before and during the scrimmage
or match. Do not make offers or suggestions that might put us at a disadvantage
that the Generals then have to talk their way out of.
If a "BE SILENT" ("be quiet", etc.) order is issued by your General, CEASE
ALL COMMUNICATIONS. He is trying to talk to the other clan leaders and your
comments only confuse the issue. Failure to stop talking after being warned
can result in the strictest punishment up to and including banishment from the
game and/or clan.
The Higher Rank Officer is the only person allowed to command the 65th clan
during the scrimmage, unless he delegates this duty to another member.
Name-calling, cursing, talking too much or harassment is NOT allowed during
the scrimmage.
If you get upset and quit a match in the middle of the game, simply because
things aren't going the way you would like them to, you WILL be removed from
the clan. We have no tolerance for childish behavior in a game. Comments about
how badly the game is going are best kept to yourself or spoken to clan mates
only AFTER the scrims are over.
MVP for each battle will be determined by outstanding team play. MVP will
be picked by a vote of the members participating in the battle.
7. RESPECT FELLOW CLAN MEMBERS AND THE 65th CLAN:
If you have problems with the clan, or with any clan members, notify a GENERAL
immediately. The General will notify the others General about the issue. The
Generals will then listen to both sides and resolve the issue as they see fit.
The Generals don't want clan issues to divide the clan. We must send all issues
that involve infighting within the clan to the General's Council.
8. ADDRESS THOSE WITH A HIGHER RANK THAN
YOUR OWN BY TITLE:
Whenever you enter our server, make a point to give a general greeting to all
the 65th on the server. "Hi 65th" will do, but also address the Officers directly
as in "Hello Freendeed, Hello Risky." Sometimes greetings are missed during
intense gameplay so do not be upset if a response is not immediate. This is
not a command but a "courtesy". The friendliness of our server both to clan
members and guests is a driving force behind the goodwill atmosphere so let's
try to welcome all as we have the opportunity whether they are clan, regular
visitors, or new.
9. RECRUITMENT AND MEMBERSHIP:
No member is to recruit without contacting a General, which is listed on the
clan roster. Do not recruit in other servers. If you see a non-clan member recruiting
on our server please report this to a General immediately. This is unacceptable
unless they have specific permission from a General. Even then a General must
be present each time and the recruiter must tell the General which player he
would like to recruit since we might be interested in that same player.
All new members or recruits will go through a 2-week trial period. This is
not a test on your skills, but more of a test on your attitude, and availability.
If you apply, and we only see you once for an hour in the following 2 weeks,
don't expect to still be a member the next time you show up.
No member is to be a part of another clan unless given special permission
from one of the Generals. Even then it must be a non-MOH clan.
No clan hopping. If you join the 65th Clan, stay in it. If you decide
to leave, then formally leave. After you formally leave you have ONE chance
to rejoin. Don't go back and forth between several clans.
All 65th clan members must have a valid e-mail address; communication is a
key to success. All 65th members must have a working form of instant communication.
We prefer MSN messenger. Please register in our website http://www.65thclan.com.
We require one email or forum post per week from each member. If this is not
done, you will be considered inactive. After 1 month of inactivity, you will
be terminated from =[65th]=.
If you have been a member of the 65th for 6 months or more at the time of
your honorable discharge you may be allowed to wear a special set of
"retired" tags when you come and visit on our server. These tags will take the
format of:
=[65th]=|Ret|membername
When you have been in a clan those people become a sort of family and we are
implementing these special tags so those who have left the clan in good standing
may still come and play when their schedule allows and still feel like a part
of the clan.
10. EVENTS' PARTICIPATION IS A MUST:
It is every member's obligation to attempt to make as many events as possible.
You must attend any practice that is scheduled before our next match if you
wish to play in the match. We will go over the strategy for the game, if you
don't know it, how are you supposed to play with us as a team?
Your skills are important but dependability is a must. We would rather you
actually show up for one event you said you would than to say you will make
it to three events and not show up. Failure to keep appointments without just
cause will result in dismal from the clan.
If you become the best player on the team, this does not guarantee you a spot
in our matches. Dependability, attitude, and specialized skills are just as
important.
We have worked long and hard to get where we are today, and winning isn't
everything. Because we reward loyalty to the clan, we will let a loyal member
that shows up for practices and proves they are willing to give 100% to the
team effort play over a member that shows occasionally but is always the top
scorer.
** Should any of the above rules be broken, disciplinary action
will ensue. Such discipline may include suspension and/or banishment. **
