Hello 65th Members :

Alleycat and this subscriber tried to make an upgrade in our box. The Planet have good offers right now, but all are addressed to new customers only. So, there was an option only. The option is to cancel our actual box and back all the files up in order to rent a new box.

The new 65th Box will have these specs:

Dual Xeon processor 2.8 mhz (the actual we have)
Two Hard Drives 80 G
5,000 bandwith (actual is 2,500)
Four (4) G RAM (actual is 2G)
Ten (10) IPs
Cost : $309.00 (actual is $277.00)

Why we need to upgrade ? The new MOH Airborne will consume more resources and we dont want to stop our mohaa servers.

What do you have to do to help us to make this a reality ?

We could get rid of the .4,.7, and .5 servers to make room, as those are rarely used anyway.

Ok here is the last deal that The Planet is offering us:

As they explained me we have right now a Intel Xeon 3060 Dual Core Conroe Processor 2.8 mhz with a capacity of 128 slots without lag.

They consider that if we are planning to add MOH: Airborne ( 2 servers ) we will need a processor that can handle a 256 slots capacity. They recommended the Intel Woodcrest 5130 Dual Core Woodcrest Processor with an upgrade from 2G RAM to 4G RAM for more box efficiency.

So, the configuration should be in this way :

Intel Woodcrest 5130 Dual Core Woodcrest Processor
250GB Hard Drive
2048 MB RAM
2500 GB Bandwith
10 (ten) IPs
Total Cost : $249.00 / month

And upgrade from 2048 MB RAM to 4096 MB will be $90.00 / month more for a Grand total cost of : $339.00 /month...so will be $62.00 more than we are paying right now.

I can pay the other part, we need the upgrade anyway. Any suggestions?

Will both of the Airborne servers be public?
They make careers out of dulling their senses and then wonder why they're unaware.

Vinstolf i think we can have 2 public and one private. Now i understand why we had lag peaks with the Conroe processor, because had 128 slots capacity max as per The Planet experts. The Woodcrest is capable to manage 256 slots without lag peaks.
